The Coaching House is located within the beautiful surroundings of Smithills Hall Country Park. In the centre of this wooded conservation area is Smithills Hall.  Smithills Coaching House, parts of which date back to  the 17th century, was the original stables for the Historic House.

The restaurant and function room complex is now a very successful family owned business, consisting of a large  public restaurant and four function rooms with bars.

Smithills Coaching House prides itself on providing good  quality, home cooked fayre at prices that won’t spoil your appetite. We have a large choice of menus and specialize in traditional food and grilled cuts of meat, we have something for everyone and our menus also have an influence of popular dishes from around the world.

The family ethos over the years has been to provide excellent value for money in a friendly and caring  environment, whilst not forgetting our customers  expectations are continually growing.

We provide some of the finest home cooked food at  sensible prices for parties of 15-200, while our Dickensian restaurant caters for couples, families and parties, children are particularly welcomed.
